Delays in loading messages and the disappearance of history are among the complaints from users.

Since September 2021, WhatsApp Inc. now Meta, has been rolling out a series of updates to the chat app.

The feature that allows you to use the messaging service on multiple devices, MD (Multiple Device), was made available for Android and iOS in February, and since then you can use the same account on up to four devices without the need to keep your cell phone connected to the Internet.

A lot of expectation was generated around this feature, however, what we have seen in the last week are many complaints about the update. The main complaint from users is the slow loading of messages on the desktop, which did not happen in the previous version, the slow general loading of the page and the disappearance of stories.

Another problem reported by WhatsApp Web and Desktop users is in the QR Code connection. There are many complaints about slowness, recurrent failures in reading, and even the need to reinstall the app.

Despite the problems, WhatsApp is receiving and sending the majority of messages, however, the recurring glitches have been making the user experience quite stressful as they find themselves several times during the day having to go back to their phone to check messages that didn't load on their computer.

The company said, through its FAQ, that since January it has been working on the MD update for WhatsApp Web and Desktop, expanding the reach of it every month and that it keeps paying attention to user feedback and adds that it is always improving the user experience, aiming for speed and stability.

The group also acknowledges that some features remain unavailable to users, such as previewing links in WhatsApp Web, viewing real-time location, and syncing deleted conversations across multiple devices, but that it remains intent on making this function available to everyone as soon as possible.

Learn more about how WhatsApp works on multiple devices:

  • You can use WhatsApp on up to four additional devices at once, however you can only connect one phone to your WhatsApp account;
  • You will still need to use a cell phone to confirm your WhatsApp phone number and connect new devices;
  • Your additional devices will be disconnected if you do not use WhatsApp on your phone for more than 14 days;

WhatsApp also informs about features that are not available for all users:

  • Link preview in WhatsApp Web;
  • Real-time location display;
  • Synchronization of deleted conversations between all connected devices;
  • Transmission lists;
  • Sending and receiving messages to your own number;
  • Synchronization of sticker packs from your cell phone to your connected devices.

And how does this impact on TalkAll's operation?

It is important to note that WhatsApp is TalkAll's main integration. When Meta Group's technology is experiencing instabilities, they directly reflect on the use of our tool.

But why is this so?

TalkAll is a multi-channel tool that connects multiple social networks on a single screen, making it easier to manage your company's communication. Despite having several features responsible for optimizing the communication process, the social networks are responsible for delivering and receiving the messages. TalkAll has no interference in this process, because the technology is exclusive to these media.

With the implementation of MD (Multiple Device), WhatsApp has been facing several problems in delivering and receiving messages. Users have noticed that some texts and media are lost or experience long delays in the delivery process.

You can count on TalkAll Customer Care to keep your entire team at a single number for contact and support with your customers, mitigating instability and connection problems. Direct the requests to specific departments with the support of chatbots. Contact our team right now using WhatsApp.
